Best COD:MW Sniper Rifles and Marksman Rifles for Warzone x BOCW

What's up everybody? Hope you all are doing just fine. Today we will be discussing the best COD: MW sniper rifles and marksman rifles in COD: Warzone.
Let's just jump straight to it.

Karabiner 98 Kurz (Kar98k)

The Kar98k is one of the most used marksman rifles in COD: Warzone due to its stability and low recoil. Chambered in 7.92 Mauser rounds, this bolt-action rifle comes with a standard 5 round clip and can be customised into a sniper rifle with a sniper scope or a variable zoom scope.

This marksman rifle can be unlocked at level 33 and has a maximum weapon level of 50. Despite having a slower fire rate than the other most used rifles: The AX-50 and the SP-R 208.

This is the setup i'm using for the Kar98k:

Most people would add a monolithic suppressor to their Kar98k sniper setup in order to conceal their hiding spot. But I prefer to use that one extra slot for one more aiming stability attachment so I can hit the shot a little bit better. So I prefer to use this setup.

Barrel: Singuard Custom 27.6"
Laser: Tac Laser
Optic: Sniper Scope
Stock: STVOL Precision Stock
Rear Grip: Granulated Grip Tape

This setup tends to sacrifice mobility (in this case Aim Down Sight speed) for control, accuracy, and range. It's worth it if you want a very precise shot on an enemy from a very long range. This setup also compromises your sniping spot to the enemy along with the scope glint from the sniper scope.

SP-R 208

A rival to the Kar98k, the SP-R 208 is a very versatile marksman rifle with a customisable bolt assembly and ammunition. The rifle can be unlocked by achieving tier 15 in the season 6 battle pass, but since this is no longer season six, you can unlock this weapon by getting 2 long shot-headshot kills with a sniper rifle or a marksman rifle in 5 different matches (How To Unlock The SP-R 208 & AS VAL In Season 1 of Warzone). This weapon can be upgraded to a maximum level of 55.

The SP-R 208 is most of the time used for quick mid to long range gunfights. Usually used with the .338 Lapua Magnum, the SP-R can be very deadly around skilled players. This was put to an end as the .338 Lapua Magnum was nerfed so that the bullet velocity is reduced and the ads speed is increased. This fix is also put on the .300 Norma Magnum (Call of Duty Warzone’s popular SP-R 208 rifle has been significantly nerfed).

This is the setup that I like to run on my SP-R 208:

Barrel: XRK 208 Dragoon
Laser: Tac Laser
Optic: Solozero SP-R 28mm
Ammunition: .300 Norma Mag 5-R Mags
Stock: XRK SP-TAC 208 Ultimate

(Note: The XRK 208 Dragoon barrel attachment automatically deletes the muzzle attachment slot)

This setup is useful for when you want a balanced ADS, recoil control, and range. The .338 Lapua Magnum's recoil is a little harder to control because of the higher recoil. That is why I prefer to use the .300 Norma Magnum.

AX-50

The next rifle we will be discussing is the AX-50. This rifle was widely used by a huge amount of players along with the Kar98k and was proven to be OP (OverPowered). It is chambered in 5 .50 cal BMG rounds that packs quite a punch. The AX-50 can be unlocked at level 37 and the sniper rifle itself can be upgraded up to level 39.

As a bolt action rifle, the AX-50 has a slow fire rate. This means that whoever uses this rifle will be exposed to attacks every time the rifle has to rechamber. This means that the user has to execute a headshot in order to get the perfect kill.

This is the setup i'm running on my AX-50:

Muzzle: Monolithic Suppressor
Barrel: 32.0" Factory Barrel
Laser: Tac Laser
Rear Grip: Stippled Grip Tape
Stock: Singuard Arms Assassin

This setup is quite useful if you want a very fast ADS speed and a swift kill.. The aim in this setup is not quite steady so it's going to be a little bit harder to hist targets at a very long range. Also the ADS speed is not very quick so you might want to identify your target first and get that shot quickly before your position is compromised.

HDR

Previously known as one of the best snipers in warzone, along with the AX-50 and the Kar98k, the HDR was dominating the battlefield with its powerful 12.7 x 108mm rounds. This weapon can be unlocked at level 11 and can be upgraded up to level 37.

Nowadays people don't really use the HDR anymore due to other rifles performing much better than this rifle. The HDR has a high recoil and doesn't have a steady aim so you need a lot of recoil reducing attachments and aim stabilising attachments.

This is the setup I like to use on my HDR:

Muzzle: Monolithic Suppressor

Barrel: 26.9" HDR Pro
Laser: Tac Laser
Underbarrel: Bipod
Stock: FTAC Champion

An alternative to this setup is to replace the FTAC Champion with the FTAC Stalker-Scout for faster ADS speed.

Side effects to this setup are its aiming stability so I don't really recommend this setup.

In conclusion I'd say if you want a fast marksman rifle to get them kills from mid to long ranges, the Kar98k is your go-to weapon.

I guess that's all for today's post. I will see you on the next post where we'll be discussing the best SMGs for COD: Warzone x COD: BOCW. Ciao!
